Swansea – Advocacy Services

Everyone has the right to be listened to and have their views taken seriously. Advocacy helps you to have your opinions, needs and feelings heard when important decisions are being made that will affect your life.

It can be difficult to fully express how you feel sometimes, and you may think that your voice isn’t getting heard. This is when the support of an advocate might be helpful.

Advocacy Support Cymru

Advocacy Support Cymru specialises in the provision of professional, confidential and independent advocacy for those eligible in secondary care mental health services and community mental health settings.

If you are a child or young person we can help you to understand your options so that you are able to make your own decisions. Our  advocates can support you to:

  • Speak up
  • Write letters
  • Attend meetings

Or do these things on your behalf.

If you are living in care, on the edge of care, a care leaver, or supporting someone who is we’re here to support you.

Our Helpline offers confidential advocacy support, guidance and referrals to support children, young people and adults in vulnerable situations.
